Meet Skylar Lunardi | Ghetto of Space lead singer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Skylar Lunardi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Skylar, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
When you are as passionate about music as we are, it feels impossible to give up. We have gone through multiple lineup changes over the past 4 years, but Mas (bassist) and I (guitarist/vocalist) have kept moving forward with the band. It is so important to us to make music and to share it with people from all over.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We started Ghetto of Space back in 2019. We were trying to get an alternative rock type sound and released our first album that year. Since then, we have gone through so much change and are now more of an indie band with an acoustic sound. It has been very challenging at times, between all the change to find some sort of stability in our sound, but part of what makes music so cool is that it’s constantly changing.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are huge Browns fans so we would definitely have to go to a Browns game! We’d probably go over to the Flats at night and hit a few of the bars that we love there. If the weather is nice, we love golfing over at Manikiki in Willoughby.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to give a shoutout to our parents. They have given us so much support throughout our lives and into our musical journey. Between sharing our music, coming to shows and just being huge fans, we wouldn’t be able to do it without them.
