We had the good fortune of connecting with Lamar Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lamar, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I would say staying consistent. Staying consistent throughout everything has brought me this far. When people didn’t believe or things may look slow, I stay consistent with my work and continue to push even more so. I would also say my willingness to learn and experience new people and things such as events around the world and being in the same room as some successful entrepreneurs. Even though i have met many entrepreneurs and etc the best advice that i received and that actually works is staying consistent with my brand.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started drawing at a young age and I always wanted to help people. So as the years went by I put the two together and came up with my brand, which is why I named it “The Inspirational Brand” it’s built to inspire people everyday from the designs to the life experiences we share. I feel that people should be inspired by life and live to inspire others to be admired at the same time. I believe inspration can go a long way with any business as long as you don’t give up. I always tell people that i built this brand for people. I have experienced a lot in my life that many have never and i want to use my experience to inspire other to life itself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would eat at one of my favorite restaurants Texas De Brazil. Also would maybe attend a Cavs game or a Browns game depending on the time and the casino would be nice. I would also introduce them to some of my local friends around my city and show them the ins and outs of my normal day.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would say my family, especially my wife and my mom. My whole family has been supportive on my journey from reposting my brand to wearing the brand. My wife has pushed me all these years. She’s so driven that her ambition spreads like a wildfire. My mom always believed in me and my talents whether if it was sports to business. I would lover to mention my father as well, he’s been playing a huge part in my brand that it’s gotten to the point where he loves wearing it. Overall they all give me incredible feedback and the upmost support understanding the trials and tribulations that comes with running a successful clothing brand.
