Meet Enas Lanham | Business owner of Dublin Toy Emporium

We had the good fortune of connecting with Enas Lanham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Enas, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As a mother and a former educator, I wanted to provide high-quality, mind-expanding, safe, and fun toys for all ages. I take great pride in selecting products that enrich child development, such as wooden toys, learning games, puzzles, arts and crafts, and so much more.
Dublin is where I live and raise my family, and I want to spread the love of art, learning, and play through the Dublin community.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Dublin Toy Emporium is a locally owned Specialty Toy Store in the heart of Historic Dublin Ohio. I personally strive to curate quality toys and create an atmosphere of discovery from the moment you enter the store. Children can interact with the toys and play in our outdoor fairy garden. When designing the store I aspired to create a memorial and magical ambience.
Passion is what motivated me to take the risk to open a small locally-owned business. It is what continues to drive me to persevere through any challenges I face. We made it through Covid by coming up with solutions to keep the business going.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dublin, Ohio is a great place to visit. I would first take them on a hike to see the waterfalls and then continue walking over our stunning walking bridge. We would shop at Boho 72, Jacob Stout Gallery, and Paris 75. Later on, we would take a glass-blowing class with Jacob Stout. We have a plethora of restaurants to choose from and to enjoy an afternoon cocktail.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am surrounded by a group of smart, talented hard-working friends. My friend Jennifer Gebhart is a Yoga teacher in the community and works at Danja Yoga. Another one of my friends Debbie Lucus has a business called The Wellspring Wellness Connection that provides health and wellness. It is inspiring to be around passionate women that are making a difference in the world.
