We had the good fortune of connecting with Dianne Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dianne, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I recognized that people were longing for connection, a sense of belonging and purpose. Leading teams for 24 years, I also knew the immense power we have as leaders to shape the way our people feel about their day, the purpose they assign to their work, and the quality of their relationships not only in the office, but when they go home too. Full Hearts Leadership & Consulting was an opportunity to combine my passion for people with my professional experience and align with a greater sense of purpose.  Afterall, a world of full hearts would mean healthier organizations, homes, and communities. As a consultant, I now work with organizations to implement the support and solutions their leaders need to unlock the power of their people, deliver results they might not have imagined possible, and create a culture where both talent and customers can feel they belong.

What should our readers know about your business?
Sometimes a new or outside perspective offers the subtle shift we need to unlock new ideas, solve stubborn challenges, or strategize new goals – which is why I love partnering with organizations on all things related to leadership, employee, and customer experiences. Together we develop customized solutions that span workshops, training, coaching, even a portfolio of tools to support engagement, address skill gaps, and enable results.

What clients find unique in my approach for designing solutions is the integration of both the heart and head.  We understand that at the other end of every leadership, employee, or customer experience is a person.  The complexity of human behavior sometimes requires solutions that extend beyond the typical process map, report, or script.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There’s something special about starting the day out in nature – so we’d probably start with a morning hike at the Brandywine Gorge Trail, followed by coffee and something tasty at Scratch Restaurant.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many that have been an important part of my journey. I’ll start with thanking my Lord, for guiding me and opening a way. My family and children who inspire me to create a better world. My friends who love, support, and lift me up. My clients whose trust means the world to me. Last and certainly not least, my coach – J. Mike Fields – who helped me transform my hurt and pain, into a courage and confidence strong enough for my purpose.
