This scripture has gotten me through some tough times and when I’m having a bad day I recite it to myself over and over until I start to feel better! It reminds me that no matter what my current circumstances are they will eventually get better!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, my art is our podcast The Pull Up Experience which showcases and places a spotlight on entrepreneurs, creatives, and innovators in our city to tell their stories about their journeys.
When we first started it was not easy because we didn’t know the first thing about Starting a podcast so other than watching other podcasts we learned everything by trial and error. After episode 15 we started placing a checklist in place, purchased better equipment, and had a brick-and-mortar place to bring our guests to.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The very first place I would recommend if the weather permits would be Edgewater Beach to hang out by the lake, then I would recommend taking a trip to West 6th to our amazing restaurants and nightclubs to visit.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shout out my team at The Pull Up Experience. Without them the podcast wouldn’t be possible, everyone plays a vital part! From Steve Jackson and his amazing photography/videography skills to Michelle Gates helping with the back-end production with our guests to Brittani Knight helping us guest host when needed to Nakia Hudson and Markita Eddy being there from the beginning and believing in the vision!
