We had the good fortune of connecting with Arielle Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arielle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was able to come across a cereal bar on social media and thought this would be a unique concept to bring to Cincinnati.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At Saturday Morning Vibes, we carry more than just cereal, we sell breakfast sandwiches, signature iced coffee, and delicious parfaits, but we’re know mostly for our Cereal Milkshakes and the nostalgia! Opening the first cereal bar in the Cincinnati region was extremely challenging because this new to market restaurant wasn’t really accepted at first. There were a few negative comments and naysayers that weren’t necessarily familiar with the idea and didn’t think it would work in a “small” city like Cincinnati. As an entrepreneur, you have to have resilience and determination and you must believe that what you have to offer will be successful.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you’re not familiar with Cincinnati we’d start at Saturday Morning Vibes of course! Maybe shoot by our world famous Zoo, or Kings Island, go to a couple cool bars in OTR, or even jump on the trolley to eat and hang out on The Banks!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It’s so many people and organizations to thank for their assistance in getting SMV launched. The ones that have been there from start to present are Jill and the AACC, my mentor Sam, my Mom, my cousin, Mortar and TCB, just to name a few.
