Meet Kahlil Tyus | Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kahlil Tyus and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kahlil, why did you pursue a creative career?
Modeling has help me build up so much confidence which has lead me to help others. Being a positive ray of light to myself and others around me has been such a fulfilling experience. This was a perfect way for me to be very expressive when it comes to my creativity pertaining to shoots and fashion shows. I hope with me taking steps and putting myself in places I’ve never seen anyone like me it inspires younger people alike to take that step.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My adaptability and my optimism keeps me separated. Looking at my page and even the different designers I’ve modeled for they’re all completely different but represent such important and amazing designers/ messages ! I think having optimism is important. Walking into a situation you never know what is going to happen which is scary but there is so much that could come from not knowing. You never know what lies on the opposing side of fear. I like to believe my very particular decisions and the amazing people I’ve gotten to work with have gotten me to where I am now. I’ve learned that you have to know yourself and know who along the way can see that and help you shine. Knowing your talent is important because there will be people along the way who might not get it. I want whoever is reading this to know there’s a space for you even if you have to be the one to make it!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Love this question! Some of my favorite places to hang out are more nature based. I really love Coe lake park in berea,oh. It has rock stairs where you can sit and observe the lake or it has many pathways where you can hike and catch up with a friend. My favorite places to eat are steakhouses I recommend marble room or red the steakhouse. Fine dining with the best steaks Cleveland has to offer! When it comes to nightlife my go to is downtown. You’ll meet alot of amazing new people as well as creatives and you’ll have an amazing time!
