We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Browning of Nomadic Earth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyle, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
From the start of Nomadic Earth we envisioned a movement that would be a reliable foundation of artisitc diversity, inclusion and intercultural arts through music, nature and community.

We’ve provided a welcoming environment for our family, friends and community to resource, share, team up and promote all art forms and artistic visions.

Our mission is organic and our music and movement holds no limitations or boundaries.

We set out to create a unique and comfortable place for anyone and everyone to join together through creativity, nature, music, art and culture.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Music is our basis and main ingredient in our creative artform, passion and movement.

All 5 members of Nomadic Earth Music have dedicated our lives to our musical movements, talents and songwriting abilities for more than half of our lives. We’re all individually known for our multi genre infused involvement and performances from a variety of local bands and solo events.

Our biggest challenge has been the ability to unify, balance and uniquely identify the given space for our individual goals, needs and visions without reducing our individuality or passions.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of our favorite spots to spend time at varies as the great State of Ohio has so much to offer!

We spend a lot of our time out treking out at Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve of Licking County and various parks and waterways throughout Ohio.

This is a beautiful spot to visit all year round to inspire any creative mind needing some fresh air, light and motivation. The Preserve offers paved and gravel trail type paths along with a waterfall, a huge train tunnel, beaches, cliffs and the famous Blackhand Gorge towpath where we perform at on Sunday afternoons.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We have to highlight the amazing support and encouragement from our local music and art communities in Columbus and Newark, Ohio.

We can’t imagine where we’d be without every one of the personal moments and relationships we’ve shared, intrusted and built together throughout these last few years.

We started by hosting free Acoustic Sunday shows at Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve in Licking County Ohio during the start of the pandemic in 2019. This upcoming canoe and kayak season will mark our 5th season curating these shows.

We plan to give back to the Nature Preserve and Licking County with a few river cleanup events being announced this Spring as well as providing some great information on how we can continue to keep the Preserve a healthy habital environment for decades to come
