We had the good fortune of connecting with Summar Anderson-slaughter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Summar, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I thought that if I could just help one Family affected by mental, physical, emotional or sexual abuse I would be making a difference in the lives of others in the community I live in.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a Patient Care Coordinator. I have been working alongside Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for over 15 years. I became a medical assistant in 2009, ever since then I have given my life over to my patients. My model has been (Patient First).

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Geneva on the Lake. It has great food, great beaches, good wine , a spa, wine tours, and excellent attractions all in one place. You would definitely have a great time there if you stayed there a entire week.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Thanks to all of our Sponsors who have donated to us so we can raise funds to support our Nonprofit Organization.
