Meet Keezy Thee Unkind | Female Artist / CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keezy Thee Unkind and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keezy Thee, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk equals reward. I feel like majority of the opportunities I’ve gotten were off risk. Not being afraid of rejection and going into different rooms knowing the outcome may not be what I thought it would be. Risk made me the artist I am today, the reason I’m still reaching towards the top.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m super excited for the “FLOAT” era I’m going into. Falling back in love with creating music and just expanding my mind to different tones and creating something new and fresh for the people who listen. Getting to where I’m at is not easy at all. I guess the thing I take with me every day is perseverance. Allowing myself grace and being okay with how anything turns out. Everyday isn’t peaches and rainbows but it’s always beautiful at the end of the day, weather that be music, shows, just planning in general as an artist and figuring out your next move. All of it can be stressful but staying focus and not letting the negative out way the positive is what’s helped me along the way. I want the world to know that KeezyTheeUnkind will be a household name, myself and my label Retro Quality Records has some of the most talented artists I’ve ever ran across. My goal is to get us ALL to the top, even if it’s one step at a time. I want the world to know we’re on the way.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to Fronteras for some good food and great drinks, we’d have to go Easton or Tuttle Mall and then head to top golf to end the night! I do these activities occasionally so this is a typical Saturday for me lol
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
BIG S/O to my right hand man Unk aka Oz Neal. They say it’s hard to do business with family but the way we push each other to just be better and to be there for the artists we manage and continuously staying ahead of the curve is a gift. S/O to all the artists on our label SmoothBoi.Ty, EDwen, SB Robbo, Burnone Jones, Slutāngel & our newest member KJ The Cool Nerd. S/O to family over at New Wave Entertainment! They’ve created a statement and movement in the underground scene I’ve never seen before. Excited to be apart of their company and changing the narrative when it comes to underground hip hop.
