We had the good fortune of connecting with Reese Filbin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reese, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve had a passion for a creative career from a young age, I love to take photos and turn the art of a photo in a story. Starting my own “business” in High School where I shot for whoever, whenever was easily one of the best choices I feel I’ve ever made.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I don’t do a whole lot different because there’s so much “competition” but we grow and teach each other new ways to better our skills. I’m excited to see where the future can bring me. It was pretty easy gaining traction with the community I was coming up in. I’ve learned the lesson that not everyone is going to support you but if you stay motivated on your goal that can’t effect you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friends came over we’d have to go to Dodge Skate Park near downtown Columbus and shoot some photos then head over to a Panera or find more spots around the city. We’re all car people so we love getting shots of our cars

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Mannnn shoutout to the good side Columbus (Ohio) Car Scene. Since August 1st, 2023 I’ve been in the 614 Car Scene and they’ve supported me and helped me every step of the way. 42Famous for life! I love ya Nick
