Meet Archelle Bloodworth | Founder & Wellness Advocate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Archelle Bloodworth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Archelle, how does your business help the community?
The Circle of Pink Sistership advocates in the community on the importance of breast health and getting mammograms. We go out in the community with mobile mammograms and pass out literature that covers what it is and the risk for women and men. The Circle of Pink schedule health fairs at local churches also. We have added handouts for myeloma, and lung cancer as well. Our mission is to help with early detection and help save lives.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Circle of Pink Sistership is a non profit organization and were a healing circle for men and women fighting breast cancer or those interested in a support group and have overcome. We keep Hope Alive and stand strong in our faith sharing supportive love, prayers, and financial blessings. Our organization spreads awareness, volunteer our time and dedication. Our mission helps support the cause and save lives worldwide. We are a community based charity that helps get out and support many who have been diagnosed with various types of cancers such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and many more. We have created a safe space to have open discussions on various topics where all are welcome. Our ministry was designed to encourage others and be resourceful to them along the journey. I started this organization because I have understood what its like to survive the storm. I also know what it takes to heal mentally and physically and that on this journey No One Should Fight Alone. The journey is not easy it takes courage, strength, and hope. One must Be Brave, Be Strong, Be Bold, and Never Give Up. I prayed, I cried, and I read my daily bread. I listened to calming music and was surrounded by my family and strong prayer warriors. I want the world to know that If your running a Race the goal is to finish strong. “That there can be life after breast cancer”. As, a overcomer I fought the good fight of faith It was one of the most humbling experiences and finding peace in the midst of it all makes you appreciate life and health more.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Fresh Time Salads and More located in Downtown Bedford. They serve healthy meals and the food is great excellent environment. I also would show them a great time at NorthStar Cafe in Shaker Heights where they serve an excellent breakfast and brunch menu and great service. Legacy Village Area has many five star restaurants to choose from and a very inviting location to hang out as well.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As a support group we have partnered with several resources to help expand what is available to people in the community either that knows someone who have experienced breast cancer, may have been a caregiver for a loved one or a Survivor looking to get amongst positive sisters with continuing to Thrive daily. Me’Chele Crosby a Psychotherapist who has her private practice sees many of our clients for counseling sessions to help with improvement while undergoing there healing journey. She provides grounding tools to help with focus, peace and balance. There are also sound healing and yoga with meditation classes available as apart of therapeutic services offered as well. Shavonne Jorden the Circle of Pink Hairstylist and Cosmetic Wig Specialist makes custom wigs for anyone who has suffered alopecia or hair loss during treatments. These wigs are measured and tailor made to the individuals head size which can be purchased privately or through their medical insurance. In Addition We have Added Healthy Clean Eating Classes free of charge to share great recipes and enjoy creative ways to increase Mindful Eating with healthy daily living styles. Embracing Inner Beauty Tips are taught by Ezinne Omonogun who is a Make up Artist and helps women become educated on skin care featuring face prep, contouring, and blush application. Brittany Foster is also one of our resources who has natural hand and foot care products which have worked really great for some of our breast cancer patients that have experienced peeling of the skin after doing radiation for areas treated on the skin. I have a book called Run the Race Finish Strong that I have written to help encourage women and men after they complete treatments because their is still a healing process after the journey mentally, physically and spiritually. In or Chemocare packages, we add this book to it with other various products for after surgery care.
