How did you choose a creative path?

Deciding to pursue an artistic or creative career path isn’t for the faint of heart. Challenges will abound, but so many of the artists we speak with couldn’t be happier with their choice. So, we asked them about how they made the decision in the first place.
In a way, it wasn’t my intention to pursue an artistic career. I started playing the violin at 5, and I loved it. It was fun to be physically active while processing notes and music in my brain, so it felt like “playing”, more than anything else. And I progressed so much faster than everyone in the program that a path to becoming a professional performer was presented by my teachers and parents pretty early on. Since I can remember I have always had a yearning to use my creativity to bring things to life. As a child my mother gave me the best Holiday experiences and Birthday parties. I come from a very large family so making memories and spending time with those I care about, is something I really enjoy! As I got older, I realized the feeling I got from those moments extended well beyond just family but also to friends, coworkers and strangers I would meet in passing. I love to share my energy and ideas with other people and that is what led me into my current career paths. Being responsible for producing fun, extraordinary, and feel-good events, has allowed me to use my creativity in ways I would have never imagined. Initially I didn’t want to do music. I sang at church since I was 5 years old, I was kind of born in it. I started ghostwriting for people back in high school not knowing I would make a career out of it. I’ve always wrote songs, sang songs and recorded here and there, but until I sat and learned under pos mov that’s when I started to write and sing more. Then I went to college for music at the time.
