Hi Above/Below, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our focus is providing wisdom for optimal living through a divine perspective. What started off as a pandemic project has now developed into a business. Above/Below is a spiritual wellness brand with a mission of making healing accessible through art. We premiered with our ‘Back from the Future’ Astrology calendar curated by us. We sold dozens of calendars, garnered 3,000+ followers and over 100,000 views with our unique media on TikTok.

This “post pandemic” era has ushered in a new normal where new lifestyles are emerging. Collectively we are longing for deeper connections holistically from our relationships, sense of self, to our service to others. There is a curiosity for esoteric sciences, especially astrology, for those seeking spiritual growth yet the wellness space is saturated with misinformation. This highlights the challenge of not knowing how to utilize astrology in everyday life.

Above/Below provides resources that stimulate mindfulness and promotes holistic lifestyles in our ever-changing world.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Above/Below is where art and spirituality meet. We understand that creating is a spiritual process and honor that knowing in everything we do. We are excited to spread our magic in creative yet practical ways. The road has been challenging yet every battle won has prepared us for ultimate victory. By staying true to our path we have been able to transmute our pain into power and are ready to show others how to do the same. As a spiritual wellness brand we want people to know that that they can be sovereign through their own spirit. We share our knowledge through art to amplify joy as it is much needed for healing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We Goddesses enjoy the simple things. Real ones know that the thrift store is where you find the pieces so we’ll began there: Value World is a great thrift with great finds for any aesthetic. After shopping we’d recommend tacos from Cilantro in Tremont. Euclid Creek is a beautiful place to get some fresh air especially after a long day. While in Euclid get into some line dancing at K&S or Lora J’s on Monday nights. If you still wanna kick it during your trip head to Becky’s downtown, where the wings are fiirrreeee! ReBar Cleveland is downtown as well, they have great cocktails & a great vibe especially when DJ Eastside Soprano is in the building. Event wise, Poetry Unplugged has a monthly open mic that feels like a genuine safe space for the creatives & community so check them out while you’re here. For a relaxing moment head to Second Sun Sanctuary where the energy is curated perfectly for rest & well being.

The rawest people are from Cleveland, as we collectively embrace what makes us special the better the whole city becomes period. Trust & believe, there’s no place like home!
