Meet Amber Jordan | ENTREPRENEUR

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Jordan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amber, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most valuable lessons I’ve learned from my business is the importance of creativity, consistency, staying in my lane, and working diligently. There were times when I felt discouraged because my business wasn’t as far along as I had hoped. I’d often look at other successful business owners and be disheartened by my lack of sales for months. However, one key lesson I’ve embraced is the need to stay committed to my own unique journey. Being a business owner isn’t easy, but taking pride in it being YOUR BUSINESS is crucial. Your journey is what makes your business authentic, so avoid comparing it to anyone else’s.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I proudly founded Sisters Walking in Purpose to empower women to embrace their purpose and take pride in their identity. What distinguishes me is my commitment to helping others reach their fullest potential. Recognizing the challenges of life, I provide vital support to my mentees, acknowledging the importance of a supportive community.
My journey involved prioritizing God, hard work, and unwavering consistency. Placing God first has been pivotal in overcoming tough situations and unlocking significant opportunities. I’ve learned the value of self-focus, aligning with both myself and God to discover my true purpose.
The path hasn’t been easy—I faced loss and disappointment. Yet, these challenges taught me the importance of prioritizing self-care and maintaining a steadfast connection with God over fleeting happiness.
I want the world to know: You can overcome anything! Regardless of your struggles or others’ opinions, you have a purpose, and if God called you to it, He will guide you through.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my best friend visits, our plans would include shopping at South Park Mall, enjoying sushi at Sora, and indulging in a spa day! While I don’t go out often, I truly enjoy connecting with my loved ones over brunch or shopping trips.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
