We had the good fortune of connecting with Bria Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bria, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My first thought was “I can be my own boss and not have to answer to nobody.” Then when I made the decision to start selling bonnets I had so many different colors and combinations in my head… my thoughts were running a mile a minute. I was overwhelmed with how many thoughts and ideas I was thinking about at one time, it was such a great feeling. I really can not do anything but thank God for everything.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I am most proud about is that I really did this all by myself. I am proud of all of my accomplishments, hard work and dedication. I love everything about being a business owner and seeing people enjoying my product. It makes me so happy that people love the products that I have to offer, most of the time they refer their friends. How I got to where I am at professionally is just staying consistent and never letting a slow/bad day get the best of me. It definitely was not easy but its all worth it! The lessons I learned along the way is you have to stay patient, consistent and have good/positive energy always. I always think if something doesn’t turn out right then that was God saving you from something terrible and he is going to bless you with something better. What I want the world to know is that we are getting better each day and be on the look out for new products.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the amusement park, mall, movies, any restaurant they haven’t been to, and museums. The first restaurant would be Cooper’s Hawk and the second would be J. Alexanders. They both have really good food so it would definitely be hard to pick between the two.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mama and God they deserves all the recognition because without them I wouldnt be where I am today. So shoutout to them both…I LOVE YALL!!!
