Meet Carlos Roa | Artist & Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlos Roa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carlos, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Determination has been a key factor in my journey to success. The drive to succeed and the commitment to not accept failure have been guiding principles for me. It’s crucial to follow through once we embark on a task and stay open to challenges, as they often lead to growth. Additionally, cultivating a habit of thinking outside the box has played a significant role. Embracing individuality and expressing ideas freely, without conforming to a predefined mold, has allowed me to bring a unique perspective to the table.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart I believe, is my intentions and the teachings I want to bring forth with my art. The messages encoded for the higher good and healing of humanity. I’m very proud that my art has allowed me to do different ventures and take me to new places and experiences. As well as connect me to communities and groups that I value very much. I have been the most excited about people allowing me to do murals because it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.
Some major lessons I have learned are not giving up when things get rough and continuing to follow my heart with patience in my passions. I learned a lot about myself and what I’m capable of doing. I showed myself my ability I have to create something to the capacity I have. Keep playing the game, keep going. I am someone who struggles with disabilities, such as learning disabilities. But I don’t allow it to stop me from reaching my goals. I would like the world to know that if obstacles are in front of you, you have the is capability to succeed through trust, truth and determination. Essentially, if I can do it , you can do it! We’re all capable. We manage. We must not just think and say it but do it and finish the task. You are the creator. you are the manifest-er, you are the creator. Do the right thing, do what feels right, and everything will be laid out for you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to a musical event at the oracle in the olde town east area! They have amazing music Latin nights for dancing. For a bar, I would go to Cobra, I love the relaxing but upbeat atmosphere they have. For food I would take them to Durbar Nepali which is an Indian cuisine spot or to late night slice as they have good pizza, drinks and arcade as well . I like to hangout at the Franklinton parks or the scioto mile and walk around to enjoy the scenery.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe a significant part of my success to the valuable connections I’ve made along the way. The support and collaboration with clients have been instrumental at every step of my journey. Building meaningful relationships has not only enriched my pro but has also been a source of continuous inspiration and guidance.
