We had the good fortune of connecting with Ceci Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ceci, what makes you happy? Why?
Something that makes me happy is getting to perform my original music for audiences and seeing them sing the lyrics back to me. It is one of the most rewarding experiences! It’s also super nice when people come up to me with positive feedback after a show, or share my music on their social media with their friends. Of course, there are also many things in life that bring me joy outside of music. One of my passions is horseback riding, and although I do not get to do it as much as I did when I was younger, it’s still one of my favorite things, and always brings a smile to my face.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have a strong musical theatre background and classical vocal training which helps me connect with the audience and tell the stories behind my songs in a way my audiences seem to really relate to and enjoy!

I am very excited about my new single, “No Girl Like Me”, coming out on November 22! It is a song I wrote a few years ago, and had the opportunity to record with Keegan Ferrell in Nashville, Tennessee this year. We worked super hard on this song, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.

I started out performing when I was three years old in music recitals, then in musicals when I was seven, and did shows through high school. When I was 13, I started performing at assisted-living facilities and nursing homes. By the time I was 14, I was performing solo at these places and also playing at wineries and bars. Now, I have my own band, and play shows at places ranging from wineries to concert venues to festivals.

It has not been easy to get where I am today, but I am so glad I never gave up, and I am very grateful the support system I have with my friends, family, and fans.

I hope everyone will pre-save my song “No Girl Like Me”, and stream it once it comes out on November 22!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to spend time in Cleveland! Some of my favorite spots include Edgewater Beach at Lake Erie, West Side Market, and Punch Bowl Social. I love to get a coffee at Edda Coffee Roasters, before I stop at West Side Market. My favorite drink there is an iced oat milk latte with vanilla syrup. Edgewater Beach is a great spot to relax and enjoy some sunshine! I like to visit the Cleveland Art Museum, or stop by the Cleveland Zoo, too.
For dinner, I love to go to Rocky River Wine Bar, and get their whipped feta dip or baked brie flatbread. Punch Bowl Social is super fun for a game night and some snacks! I also recommend seeing a show at Jacobs Pavilion. I hope to perform there one day myself!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my mom, Laura Taylor, who has been my voice and piano teacher my whole life, and my biggest supporter. She has taught me so much, and I would not be where I am today without her help.
