We had the good fortune of connecting with Charles Nnamdi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charles, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Nnamdi Media is execution. Our brand appeals to the client looking for a sophisticated, editorial feel behind their marketing. We understand that other productions companies are able to meet the points of a campaign, but we see creative briefs differently. Whether we build a custom set, shoot on the roof of a skyscraper, or rent a penthouse, if we can take a brief and make awe-inspiring content, then we have achieved our objective.

Please tell us more about your art. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Colors. Angles. Bokeh. Exposure. Composition. There are many technical components which go into a quality image. My art comes from a love of presenting people in the greatest light possible, alongside shining light upon new ways of thinking. I am fortunate to have found photography. It serves as an intersection of my engineering background, my artistic expression, communing with others, and entrepreneurship.

What sets me apart is “my eye.” I realize that I see the world differently. Moreover, I have learned to manifest my visions into reality through words, images, and film. My art is infused with my personality; therefore, it has a little edge, a lot of imagination, and a hell of a lot of determination. Where most artists see limitations, I see a lack of commitment to the vision. Pushing my limits creatively, while reaching for epic results, inspires me and my work.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not the best equipped to answer this question. Most of my time is spent between shoots, in and out of town, processing photos, and the recesses of social media. Nowadays, I am to and from my production studio; but beyond that, I am networking with creatives and cultivating relationships with past and future clients. Or asleep.
