Meet Chrissy Cavotta | Property Manager/Event Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrissy Cavotta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chrissy, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
In my case, I have a full time career in Property Management, and my business is my creative outlet. It is extremely important to me to pursue my passion projects in conjunction with my 9-5 lifestyle. This allows me to have a way to express my art and share my ideas and still continue to grow in the corporate world.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I recently launched an Event Production company called Events by Chrissy Cavotta. Currently, I am most proud of the fact that I took a risk and explored a new avenue. Events have been a huge part of my life for the last 12 years, but mostly by way of Fashion Shows. I decided to rebrand and relaunch my business with the capability to produce events all of all types, and not limit myself to one industry. The journey has not been easy street, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Adversity and obstacles will always get in your way, but it’s all about how you maneuver. I was able to overcome the challenges because of my insanely strong support system. The most noteworthy lesson I have learned would be “Stay the course,” which I grew up hearing my Dad say all of the time. It’s pretty cut and dry, stick with it, see it through, hang in there. It resonates with me so heavily.
I would like the world to know that what I have to offer is solely me being me. If you happen to align with my ideas and visions, just know they all come from the heart. I will never present as something I am not, and I say that with pride.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I really love food and fashion, so I will let that be the guide.
Coventry:
I would start out the day at Inn on Coventry with a stack of the Lemon Ricotta pancakes and then wander down the street and hit up Passport to Peru and Cleveland Candle Company.
Little Italy:
Next stop would be to Mia Bella to get their award winning Shrimp Saganaki Dish, then I would head over to Nido Italia for a martini and then go visit Moonstruck Cle right down the street for some shopping.
Ohio City:
I’d swing over to see my friends at Contrast High to see the latest hat and sweatshirt designs they have in stock. After that, would make a pit stop to Tripi Italian Specialties to grab a Papa Tony sub. Then, head less than a mile down the road to Lavish 3 to see what new arrivals came in.
Lakewood:
If you’re somehow still hungry, Hola Tacos Quesabirria never disappoints, but if you’re in the mood for Asian Fusion the sushi boat from VooDoo Tuna is always a winner.
Downtown:
Head over to INTRO Boutique in the 5th Street Arcade, they have some great clothing and accessories and also some perfect holiday gift ideas.
End the day with Geraci’s Slice Shop and try the OG & Bianco slices!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
MY DAD. Easily my biggest supporter. He has gone above and beyond to be involved with every step of my journey. My Mom and brother have also been very influential to me in the process along with all of my close friends who support every event. My boyfriend has also been cheering me on along the way. Last but not least, I would like to mention all of the models, who have become friends, that I have worked closely with over the years on fashion shows. They have encouraged me to continue doing what I love and for them I am very grateful.
I often circle back to the quote “You eat an elephant one bite at a time.” It’s an excellent metaphor for tackling tasks with a systematic and methodical approach, and I implement that into my daily grind.
