We had the good fortune of connecting with Crew Life and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crew Life, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Consistency! With us consistency is really the bread winner for our crew, if we aren’t releasing something as a collective, someone is releasing something as an individual, and that keeps us relevant with our supporters.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our art as a production company varies vastly! We do everything from sound engineering to audio and video production and cinematography/photography! Our style is more gritty and rough, with a professional polish on top! However if working with clients we’ve been known to achieve whatever the look they are envisioning! Nothing in this realm of creation is easy, and the steps it took to get to this point in our journey was long and difficult. However, nothing worth having should come easy! We’ve learned as a unit to not focus on the goal as much as to enjoy the process of the journey, because once the journey is over, the creating stops, the road has ended and there is no point to continue. Instead of focusing on the end goal, enjoy every moment before it, because those up and downs, those roadblocks you have to get past, those are the moments that make you a better creator and person in the end! If there’s anything the readers could learn or take away from us is to just do you! See yourself, be yourself, and do what makes you happy, the purest art comes from the realest places, keep like minded people by your side and never second guess yourself!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So we hail from Erie, PA! It depends on the season said person would be visiting! Summer time we have the beach and the pier and everything that comes with having a lake near by with good weather, too many good things to list! If your visiting in the winter bundle up and head down town, hockey games and warm cider are big here.

However if your coming to visit Crew Life we will most likely be in the studio or at a local underground shows/ dive bars. We enjoy more of the under belly of erie, the sides that don’t get exposed or good publicity from our news outlets. Private tastings, after hour parties, art collective meet ups, side lot shenanigans, this is the other side of erie u won’t see televised, unfortunately. Erie has alot of potential in the art scene from clothes to music to inventing, it just needs a better spotlight!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Let’s shout out our peers! We all deserve credit for our growth, we feed off of our fellow artist, in and out of our group! Recently we’ve been collabing with local artists and have started “conversation” communities through social media platforms so that artists can share their creations with eachother instantly! We have a Spotify playlist with over 500 local hiphop and rnb songs aswell from local artists, this helps make it easy to support eachother.
