Hi Erin, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Erin @SelfCare.Concierge serves the community by providing a welcoming, inclusive space where clients can enjoy consistent self-care without stress or compromise. I’m proud to offer a Fitzpatrick-friendly salon environment, where treatments are customized to safely and effectively support all skin tones and types. This concierge-level experience means clients not only receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs but also find a place where they can fully relax and prioritize their well-being, knowing they’re in expert hands. Additionally, Self-Care Concierge contributes to the community by supporting other salon professionals in building sustainable, successful careers. Through one-on-one consulting, I help independent artists create intentional, easy-to-implement marketing strategies that align with their goals and connect with their ideal clients. By empowering solo professionals with tools for growth, Self-Care Concierge strengthens our local industry, fostering a community of skilled and supportive beauty experts who are dedicated to enhancing clients’ lives.”

What should our readers know about your business?
My passion for supporting other creative professionals stems from my own journey through the highs and lows of entrepreneurship. I understand firsthand how naturally creative minds experience cycles—periods of high inspiration and productivity, balanced by times when creativity feels blocked or harder to access. As a creative, I’ve learned that adding structure, routines, and systems is essential to weathering these natural ups and downs, allowing us to keep our goals in focus, even on challenging days. This approach is something I emphasize with every entrepreneur I work with. By introducing sustainable routines and thoughtful systems, I help fellow creatives bring consistency to their business, so they can channel their energy productively and stay resilient through all phases of their creative journey. I believe that every entrepreneur, especially in the beauty and wellness industry, can benefit from this balance of structure and inspiration to reach their potential while maintaining their passion.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Clintonville has such a wonderful community vibe, and I love supporting local spots that make it so unique. Weiland’s Market is one of my go-to places—it’s just a few blocks away and has an amazing selection of fresh, quality ingredients. I’m also a big fan of Clintonville Natural Foods for their focus on organic and sustainable options, which aligns with the values I bring into my own business. Sage and Soul Studios is another place close to my heart. It’s not only a welcoming space for salon professionals and where I operate @selfcare.concierge from but also features a rotating gallery of work by local artists. Supporting and showcasing these talented artists allows us to celebrate the creativity within our community and give clients an inspiring, collaborative space.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my Long family of entrepreneurs. My dad Contractor of 30 + years , grandfather who’s dental practice was in the Clintonville area for almost 40 years, and all the way to the first generation over from Italy Carmine Oliverio who ran a pool hall in PA id have to say business is in the blood!
