Meet Erinn Dearth | Creative Mastermind behind Letters From Home & Spring Theatre

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erinn Dearth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erinn, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Being a singer and dancer my entire life, I’ve always enjoyed performing, but wanted to take that skill set and put it towards a greater purpose. Being onstage is fun and gives me a lot of satisfaction, but shows that have a deeper purpose is what gets me really motivated. I started Spring Theatre to give the youth in our community an opportunity to find the love of theatre while providing a nurturing environment, and I started letters From Home to honor veterans, active military and their families through song.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
That’s a lot of questions! But great ones, thank you. I feel like what sets what I do apart from other performers and producers is that my shows tend to be mission based. I always want audiences to take away something from the show: wether they are proud of their service, feel lighter and more hopeful about life, or get inspired to do something themselves.
The lifestyle of a touring performer and producer definitely wasn’t and isn’t “easy”, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Luckily, I love to travel and so does my husband, so being on the road together is something we look forward to.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be anywhere I am today without the everlasting support of my parents who always encouraged me to follow my heart, no matter how insane my dreams were. For the past 6 years, I owe a great deal of my success to my husband, Dan, who is there with me through thick and thin, and keeps my creative brain strong and my artistic integrity high!
