We had the good fortune of connecting with Fallon Schwab-davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fallon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
All the tough trials…lol Weather that’s business partners that didn’t workout, endeavors that flopped, unforeseen turn of events. It all gave me learning lessons on what to do and not do. Or how to go about it better next time to make life more easy and flow. But also learning from others mistakes. Through my 10 year career I have learned so much by just watching and absorbing all the rights and wrongs. The rights, to inspire me, the wrongs to help protect me from those same mistakes.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well, i started making mashups back in 2014 when i was a freshmen in college at the University of Mount Union in the Radio Station (91.1 WRMU). I worked in the station all 4 years doing live air shows from 4-6pm called 91.1 The Glow with DJKrooze! And it was based off music you dont just hear anymore or at all on the radio. People get tired of the same song over and over ya know? But anyway, I got sent on my first live gig on campus and actually felt the energy and saw it from others and realized….Hey, I’m doing that! And i just fell inlove with the live aspect.

I think our mashups and remixes are apart of what sets us apart from your average wedding DJ or school dance Dj but i think mostly what it is, is our quality and attention to fine detail for every event we do, big or small. Always look clean cut with our set ups, always look professional. My main motto is make the client(s) feel like rockstars and celebrities. Because who doesn’t want to be famous for a day…..!? Make the gig feel like a movie to them! So yes i think I’m most proud about our reputation. I hold my Krew to high standards. Some times they think I’m crazy and not picky I’m sure but we are where we are for a reason right? Trust the system lol

No it has not always been easy… I think the hardest part about running this ship is truly being the captain of it… It gets hard and tricky especially when you work with friends. Because emotions and ties and sometimes they have a hard time when i have to go into “boss mode” vs. just a friend. Because at the end of the day when mistakes are made even from me there has to be accountability and a follow up and that’s not always easy sometimes with friends when you are trying to keep something so precious to you afloat. We have had Krew come and go, for different reasons but yeah …I would say that’s truly the hardest part.

I just want the world to know that our Logo we rock on our chest, The KrewWay Experience is a humble and fair little group of DJs that just want you to have the time of your life and remember it forever! We want the world to jump on the KrewWay wagon and ride with us through this journey!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely say Cleveland lol Best clubs, a plethora of restaurants and shows to experience! a million parks to explore! And it’s just filled with all kinds of people! And they might be able to even see me spin some at Inferno Night Club in the flatts 😉

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well first and foremost my mom! She helped jump start this whole dream! She has rescued us time and time again! She not only encouraged me to pursue this crazy dream but helped me mentally emotionally through challenging times. When I got cancer she told me not to give up that it was all temporary and that she would help coordinate things!

2nd my KREW!!!! Couldn’t be in multiple places at once without them! Dakota has been my ride or die since i started basically, He’s had a big part in keeping things going and trouble shooting when needed, his work ethic is amazing! An old Krew member Joe, when i was sick and going through chemo he stepped up quite a bit and filled in so much.
Cody is our newest and he has come in clutch so much! Really stepping in and making a mark1

And last my community! All my Kroozerz out there that saw where this dream was going and supported me by sharing my stuff, coming to gigs, buying our merch, shouting us out on social media and just truly being kind. We have had such an amazing community support system.
