We had the good fortune of connecting with Fatima Bouyer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fatima, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my own business because of my passion for fitness and a desire to fill a market gap. I wanted to create a supportive space for women’s fitness while pursuing my entrepreneurial spirit and achieving personal growth. Owning a business provides flexibility, financial independence, and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy. It has been a challenging yet incredibly rewarding journey that aligns with my personal and professional aspirations.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is a women-focused fitness center that aims to provide a unique and empowering fitness experience. What sets us apart is our commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where women of all fitness levels can thrive. I’m most proud of the positive impact we’ve had on our members’ lives, helping them achieve their wellness goals and build self-confidence.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy, but the challenges fueled my determination. I learned that perseverance and adaptability are crucial in the business world. One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of staying true to our core values and mission, even when faced with obstacles.

I want the world to know that our brand is about more than just fitness; it’s about empowering women to lead healthier and happier lives. Our story is one of resilience, growth, and a commitment to making a positive impact in our community. I’m excited about our journey ahead and the opportunity to continue changing lives through fitness and self-love

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Columbus, Ohio, for a week, I’d ensure they have an unforgettable time. We’d start with breakfast at Northstar Café, a local favorite, to fuel our adventures. One day, we’d explore the historic German Village, with its charming streets and a visit to The Book Loft. For an active morning, we’d hit the gym, for a weight session.

Our itinerary would include a day at the Franklin Park Conservatory, a visit to Short North’s vibrant arts district, and a hearty dinner at The Top Steak House. We’d also appreciate the local art scene with a trip to the Columbus Museum of Art and enjoy the serene Scioto Mile.

Of course, we’d indulge in local flavors at North Market. We’d wrap up the week with a visit to Easton and a farewell workout at my gym, followed by a memorable dinner at The Refectory Restaurant & Wine Shop.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to three incredible people in my life: my husband, my mom, and my oldest sister. They have been my unwavering support system, providing endless encouragement, love, and guidance throughout my journey as an entrepreneur. Their belief in me has been a driving force behind my success, and I’m truly grateful for their presence in my life. This recognition is a tribute to their remarkable contributions to my story.
