We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina Nielsen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started planning my wedding I realized I wanted a mobile bar there (and at every event, to be honest) so I started looking for one. I then had the realization that this was something I could totally do, and fell in love with the idea of bringing something so fun & elevated to our area. I ran down to ask my friend & coworker, Meredith, if she would be interested in doing this with me, and she was all for it!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
With The Road Pop we really wanted to embody the idea that anything worth celebrating, is worth celebrating in style. We melted luxury, uniqueness, and accessibility together to create an unforgettable experience, and we’re so proud to share that with others during the most important moments of their lives. Building relationships with our clients is such a bright spot for us, and we really wanted to expand that so we joined up with Honeybee Tents & Events and started Hunnies Who Hustle; a group for local female entrepreneurs to get together and support one another. Watching our closely-held belief of “community over competition” come to life has been so exciting!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Meredith and I could not have made this dream a reality without the overwhelming help & support of our families and friends. From the moment we told everyone our idea they were immediately on board, cheering us on!
The biggest shout out, however, goes to Meredith’s dad, Hank. He took all our sketches & designs and worked tirelessly for months to build out the gorgeous interior of our trailer bar.
