We had the good fortune of connecting with Glory Jefferson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Glory, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Great question! You know many would say well established to be able to retired comfortably. I honestly would like Opulence Events become an empire, where fellow event designers, and or planners come to reconnect, restore, and rebuild their visions. The goal of Opulence Events is to build a community where like minded individuals come together to gain knowledge and wisdom from others in the industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the founder of Opulence Events by Glory. We’re a full service event planning company and expanding to the education portion of the industry. Our goal is to build a community with like minded people to change the way people see events.

We believe that every event should be luxurious; from business meet ups to women conferences and from conferences to weddings. Everyone should experience luxury!

My most proud moment was seeing a vision manifest during one of the most devastating time of our lives (COVID). I wasn’t sure to produce a gala doing this time but I prayed and God said complete the task. I was so fearful but we prevail. I’m excited to announced that New Year’s Eve will be our fourth year successfully accomplishing a vision God gave me in the midst of a pandemic.

Wow! How did I get to this point professionally? What a great but simple answer. I’ve got through this journey by trial and error. I’mlearning from my mistakes and giving myself grace.

My journey with Opulence Events wasn’t easy by a long shot but I’m grateful for business.
You know challenges are just that!
When you want something so bad , you’ll do the necessary steps and go through the pain to complete the mission.

I’ve learned many things about business but the most important thing is establishing YOUR brand. By establishing your brand, you must do what solves a problem, convenient, and create a system that allows the client to have an excellent customer service experience.

I want people to understand that their past is just that. It’s a place that will not meet today and for sure will not keep up with their future. I don’t care what situations happened in the past, they can not stop you from completing today unless you allow it to. Today is a new day!

I’ve had a hard life and thought my life was over many times but I made it to the other side. I made it through! I now operate an event business that obtains favor from returning clients that are satisfied with the work we do.

Opulence Events caters to those who don’t mind experiencing a luxurious event, full of excitement, moments and memories.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I have to honor my CEO, my chief, the head of my house, and my world, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My life is incomplete with him. Just try him is what I say to people that doesn’t know him.
