Meet Hannah Carroll | Graphic Designer & Hair Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Carroll and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is actually a Bible verse, which comes from Isaiah 26:3; it states “”You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!“ To me, this verse simply highlights how God will keep those who have faith in Him, those who have faith that He will work everything out in their favor. When you have full, complete trust in God, you will see how peaceful and calm your life is; no matter how many problems and trials come your way, you know God will deliver you & help you through the fire. It will benefit you at the end of the day, helping to build & develop character; this ties into another verse I like from Romans 5:3 – “”We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.“

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a graphic designer, and have been in the design industry for about 4 years now! I create full brand identities, websites, social media content & offer lots of other services for small businesses in the beauty industry. I’m proud of how far I’ve come with my business, and how much clients I have been able to retain over the years because of how satisfied they’ve been with the work produced. I’m also proud of myself because I’ve been able to be self sufficient with paying my university tuition since enrolling in 2021, as well as start up another business on the side called Her Haus of Hair (@herhausofhair on Instagram), and so many other milestones. I stayed consistent with posting passion projects on Instagram from 2020 and maintained the same high quality of work since day one – as a result, business has flourished & I have so many loyal clients now who repeatedly book me for projects! It definitely has gotten difficult at times, but to overcome my challenges, I stayed focused on what God called me to, and relied on Him to keep me on the right path and stay focused so I don’t get discouraged. I’ve learned that not everyone can and will be satisfied, and I’ve also learned that it’s totally okay! As long as I maintain integrity with my business & don’t lose focus, everything will be fine! I want everyone to know that being patient is key and everything is a process; I motivated myself daily, and still do, pushing myself to my limits & still exceeding them every day. That is how you stay on top – you just have to keep going!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I currently live in Dallas, TX, and there are so many things to do here! First stop would be the luxury movie theatre downtown called Cinepolis! It’s super upscale and has a great ambiance, and the customer service is great. Next, we would try Bombshells for some good food & great drinks. I’d also take them to Prayer Mountain – it has an amazing view of the city of Dallas, and God’s presence is felt all around; it’s very quiet and serene, a great spot to just hang out & relax. I would love to visit the Dallas Zoo or Aquarium – I love animals and it’s super interesting to see all the different species of animals on land & sea. I think we’d have a great time at an indoor adventure park like Urban Air, and visiting different food spots at Legacy Hall in Plano, TX!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d definitely like to give a shoutout to my boyfriend! He supports me in everything I do, and motivates me when I feel like I may not be doing good enough in my businesses. He is so loving & kind, and helps me carry the weight of my businesses – both graphics & hair. He helps me drop off packages, package orders, keep track of clients, (lovingly) critiques my designs for clients before I send them off, and anything else I need a hand in. I appreciate him so much!
