Meet James Warmack | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with James Warmack and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi James, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was simple, To share my creativity with the world and for my children to see me passionate about something. It was important to me that they see what doing what you love could actually look like as opposed to me just saying it. On the other side of that I don’t want to pass away without leaving my mark in some way.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well from selling in person to selling online and juggling my 9 to 5 I keep pretty busy. If I’m not working on a new shirt design or working I’m usually drawing and posting as much content as I can. From Facebook to Instagram and TikTok it’s a lot to try and keep up with. Enjoying the process truly is a must. There’s work that comes with chasing something and I figure I’ll do it with a big smile on my face.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would probably take them downtown to the casino. Maybe some food at this awesome movie theater! Literally dinner and a movie. The rock and roll hall of fame or the art museum. I don’t really get out much however. I find the silence to be very soothing. I can think. I’m a single dad and mingling isn’t always on the table. I do try to get out with my girlfriend as much as possible. Right now though it’s mostly working and chasing sleep.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First of all God. Without the ability to create I definitely wouldn’t be doing this. Also my children give me a lot of motivation. I don’t want them to see me give up. I don’t want them to see me fail. I want them to see that their father was persistent and relentless for what he loved to do and what he was put here for.
