We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Perdok and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremy, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose a creative career as a cinematographer/photographer because it allows me to be a part of the creative process, capturing images and telling stories through visuals. It also provides me an avenue to express my individuality and show unique perspectives. As a camera operator, I have the opportunity to contribute my creative vision to projects, making each piece of work a reflection of my style of shooting. Another reason I chose a creative field is because it is very dynamic and ever-evolving . Being a camera operator means i’m staying up-to-date on new technologies, techniques, and trends in cinematography.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a camera operator, I play a crucial role in conveying emotions, capturing moments, and bringing narratives to life. This ability to contribute to the storytelling process can be incredibly fulfilling. I would say one thing that sets me apart from others is my attention to detail and precision in framing shots and composition.

Something I am most proud of is just my whole journey to where I am now. I started making gaming YouTube videos back in 2014 and jump to October 2023, I just released my first big short film and held a special public premiere in a movie theater!

Getting to where I am now was not the easiest thing to do. Being in the film and photography industry truly depends on setting yourself apart from everybody else and just trying to stand out from everyone else that is trying to do the same thing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give credit to all my friends and family for all of the continued support and encouragement they have given me throughout my journey to this point.
