Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Embarking on the journey of establishing LynnJ Apparel and Customs stemmed from personal frustrations encountered during my apparel brand’s launch. This inspired a mission to simplify and streamline the process for others entering a similar path. At LynnJ Apparel and Customs, we take pride in our distinct approach to custom apparel. Our commitment revolves around removing barriers often obstructing entrepreneurs and creatives in the industry. We prioritize delivering quality products and services, distinguishing us in a competitive market.

Navigating the path to where we stand today has been filled with challenges, predominantly internal battles. Grieving my mother’s passing remains a bittersweet struggle; accepting reality, yet yearning for her presence. Coupled with this, self-doubt created misleading perceptions of my achievements and potential. Handling these mental aspects has been more challenging than business adversities due to their varying nature and impact on mental stability. Daily prioritization of mental health became integral, adapting to its fluctuating demands.

Being a role model to my children, and guiding them through my journey, brings me immense pride. Witnessing the evolution of my business isn’t just a professional achievement; it’s a personal healing process. It reconnects me with my inner child – the girl who found solace in designing clothes. Observing my business thrive feels akin to answering the question, ‘What happens to a dream deferred?’ It’s proof that delayed dreams, fueled by perseverance and passion, transform into meaningful realities.

Firstly, I want to express my gratitude to God for providing me with the peace, grace, and understanding that propelled me toward the vision I was meant to pursue. This foundation has been fundamental in shaping my journey and allowing me to navigate the challenges and triumphs. In addition to divine guidance, my path has been greatly influenced by my background in retail management before venturing into entrepreneurship. The experience gained in retail management honed my leadership, customer service, and operational skills, which laid a solid foundation for my subsequent endeavors. I am an avid reader there are a few books that have significantly impacted my approach to life and business. Works such as ‘The 12 Week Year,’ ‘Atomic Habits,’ ‘The Marathon Continues,’ and ‘The Common Path to Uncommon Success’ provided invaluable insights and strategies that have influenced my mindset and methodologies.
I have also used local resources and educational platforms, such as GWD. Additionally, seeking early business consulting from Irene Marie Co was pivotal in gaining clarity and structuring my business effectively. Irene’s guidance refined my strategies and direction in those formative stages.
Their combined impact has been invaluable in shaping my path, fostering growth, and I am immensely grateful for their contributions to my personal and professional development.
