We had the good fortune of connecting with JT Fackler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JT, what inspires you?
What inspires me the most is not something, it is two people, and that would be my parents. My parents inspire me because of what they have built and what they have created right at their own property. They both inspire me in different ways and so I will explain why. My dad, Tate has inspired me by showing what he has built and what he has learned, he bought this land when it was just a field and has built everything. That includes the house we live in, the barn we store things in and build things in, the pavilion for their wedding venue, and also for the venue the Bourbon Cabin and the Ladies Chalet. Then there are multiple more things he has created and built and there is a lot more to come. He is the person I have learned the most from and how to figure things out. Next is my mom, Lisa she has showed me what its like and how to run a business. She has taught me how to do all my book work, how to stay motivated and has also shown me that to always look at the bigger things in life. She has taught me how to be mentally smart, how you should spend your money, taking risk, and many more. She has so many great ideas and my dad figures out how to make them come to life, so when you put them together, they can do unstoppable things. So They are the ones who inspired me to start my business because they will always be there for me and have shown me that it is possible to run your own even though it will be hard.

What should our readers know about your business?
I got where i’m at today with a lot of hard work and determination. I have only been full time with my business for a good 3 months or so in the summer then winter came and i slowed down. So through these past couple of months I have learned that there will most definitely be hard times through out this process, but you just have to keep going and it will all work out.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So we live in a very rural area and don’t have much things to do with our small town, but I can tell you right now I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I would just show them that life just simply moves slower out here and it is nice to just relax and enjoy the views and the few people that are here.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The people I would like to shout out for helping me making the leap to starting a business is my parents, they were the ones who inspired me the most to start one, but I did talk about them a lot in the first question, so the next one who has helped me would be John fry. He has created his own business and has shown me that with a lot of hard work and good decisions that it will all work out. He once told me he started his business with a truck trailer and a cheep bobcat, and told me you don’t need the nice’s things to have and run a business. Now he has multiple pieces of machinery, a dump truck, combine and multiple tractors with land to farm. I have been helping him with different odd jobs for years now and over the years I have learned a lot from him and I am very grateful he has gave me some of the knowledge I know now.
