Meet Kacey Beal | Owner and Operator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kacey Beal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kacey, how does your business help the community?
I have had the great opportunity to supply many local business as well as boutiques, hospitals, zoos, sports complexes, schools, restaurants, even hardware stores, with hand crafted merchandise of which they would not have been able to get otherwise. My designs are unique to them. I am also willing to create custom products to their specifications.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a born creative. I remember watching my mom as she would paint or sew. I would just sit there, memorized by her skill. This lead me to creating more as i grew up. We were a DIY family. This creativity and DIY mentality has given me the opportunity to explore the lasering world with an open mind.
I got to where I am though lots of grit and determination. It also helps that I am a people pleaser. So if you ask me to do something, I will do everything I can to make it happen. I would make one mock up, then sell thousand. I had no idea what I was doing when starting out, so I learned as I went.
It was not easy at all. I am always trying to find new ideas to implement to make my systems better or more efficient. I am true believer of trial and error. I always say yes and figure out how to to do. I like to say that everything in this world is figure-out-able.
I learned that going viral is not always a good thing. I have has a few products go crazy wild and I was not prepared for it. I had to learn to have enough material on hand as well as shipping supplies at all times.
I am a family run shop. I do most of it, but my husband help with a lot of the tech. My kids are old enough to help as well. I love custom orders. It is fun to see your ideas come to life. When you come to me with a custom order, I will always give you 3-4 designs to pick from. It truly is an honor to make those special orders.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take her to the Coeur d’Alene Hotel Dockside restaurant, for a Gooey. It is a piled high ice cream Sunday fully loaded with all the toppings. After Dockside, we would walk the boardwalk and visit all of the shops in Downtown Coeur d’Alene. Of course all of this would be done in the summer to enjoy the most of our outdoor weather. Finally, we would end the day with a boat ride around the lake to watch the sunset.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Natalie Thompson has been a true friend to me over the past few years. She is great at helping me to bd a better me. She pushes as well as uplifts in my times of need.
