Meet Kenyatta Crisp | Photographer & Fine Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenyatta Crisp and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kenyatta, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
“For me, creativity has always been my way of understanding and expressing the world around me. As a Black artist, I see art not just as a form of self-expression and an extension of myself. Pursuing an art career has given me the opportunity to explore and celebrate my cultural heritage, confront social issues, and contribute to positive change in my community. It’s a powerful medium through which I can share stories, evoke emotions, and connect with people on a deeper level. Ultimately, pursuing an artistic career allows me to make a meaningful impact through my creativity, advocating for diversity and representation in the arts. I wanted to amplify these things, and my camera became my means of doing so.”
