Hi Marlena, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor of my success, is being consistent. I never treated my work as if it was secondary, it’s always been the #1 focus for me, as long as you have consistency & dedication I believe the job will always get done.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This brand is built from love, the love of hair, the love of connections, the passion, from hard times to good times, I love them all. As I’m entering my second year of being a business owner I can’t be anything more than proud of myself. There are times when you think there’s no recovery, and days move by so fast you never get a chance to look back and appreciate the fact you overcame it. I’m here today because I didn’t let bad times discourage me, I have a plan & it has an end goal and I’m going to reach it by all means necessary. I don’t only owe it to myself, I owe to every single last person who has sat in my chair, every single person counts, and I greatly appreciate them!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite place in the city, is the creek!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out my salon home. helped me grow so much as a stylist, business owner & person. They always look after me as one of their own, and guide me as one aswell. I will always be grateful to have come across such a comfortable and loving environment.
