Meet Megan LaFrance | Founder of Bloom Towels

We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan LaFrance and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Both my parents are entrepreneurs, and because of that I knew that I wanted to start my own business one day. I am a stay at home mom, and wanted to be able to still stay home with my kids, but also contribute to my families finances. It was not until right before the pandemic that I started to really start thinking seriously about starting my own business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a mom of three little boys, navigating the challenges of the pandemic meant dealing with countless spills. Tired of the constant clean-ups, I set out on a mission to discover towels that not only worked effectively but also brought a sense of joy to their use. That’s when the idea for Bloom Towels was born.

Our brand specializes in the sale of the most adorable double-sided microfiber dishtowels that truly deliver on functionality. These towels have the remarkable ability to absorb 7 times their weight in liquid, ensuring efficient clean-ups, and they dry quickly, eliminating the hassle of dampness. What’s more, they won’t drip on your way to the sink.

What sets Bloom Towels apart is the delightful touch of uniqueness on both sides of the towel. Vibrant, fun patterns adorn each side, adding a splash of joy to the ordinary moments of your daily routine. Personally, I take pride in our growth as a brand, and I’m thrilled about the prospect of introducing more fantastic products to our store.

Remaining steadfast and not giving up, especially during challenging times, has been the key to our success. I have a genuine love for our dishtowels; I use them several times every day and can’t wait to share this joy with others. Our mission is to empower women to find joy in the seemingly mundane aspects of their lives, injecting a bit of color and function into their everyday tasks.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have never been to Ohio. I would love to visit, but can not answer this question. We are based out of Utah.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people I would love to shoutout! First of all my Mom. She has supported my dreams from the beginning and even started by giving me a small loan to help me start my business. I definitely would not be where I am today without her love and encouragement. My Husband has also supported me every step of the way, and encouraged me to go after my dreams. I have had a lot of business mentors along the way that have taught me so many things to grow my business. Our business would not be where it is today without our amazing influencer friends. One I would love to shoutout from Ohio is Jill with @jillcomesclean! She is the best and we just love her, and are so grateful for our partnership with her!
