Meet Mikey Fragoulis | Adoniis Fiit Owner & Co-Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mikey Fragoulis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mikey, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When Anthony & I had first met to discuss starting our own apparel brand, we were still extremely new and somewhat ignorant to the clothing industry. From playing sports our entire childhood, as well as having a passion for fashion, we knew that we had a very similar idea in exactly what it was that we wanted to create. We both owned our own personal training businesses as well and had a pretty accurate idea of what men & women liked to wear when not only working out, but in their day-to-day lives outside of just training as well.

That being said, our thought process behind starting Adoniis Fiit was to bring a combination of luxury and comfort in athleisurewear to the modern fitness enthusiast. Our mission is to bring a blend of comfortability with new modern designs to the activewear industry. We envisioned creating versatile collections that seamlessly transition from workouts to your daily life. These various collections will launch sporadically throughout the year to match the season that we are currently going through, rather than just always being held in stock permanently.

Aside from just having our e-commerce store online selling products, we wanted to also differentiate ourselves by incorporating seasonal pop-ups also. Every few months, we will organize pop-ups for our apparel brand where we typically have discounts, food, drinks, and even a live DJ! These events typically take place on the weekends, and can happen anywhere from downtown Columbus to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

We now have launched 4 different collections, as well as several accessories to pair up with for our modern fitness enthusiasts, and have not looked back since! Our 5th collection is currently in the making and predicted to launch by January 2024.

What should our readers know about your business?
Adoniis Fiit is an athleisure apparel brand for modern fitness enthusiasts. We bring a combination of comfort with luxury designs to our various collections that we drop seasonally.

Aside from just our e-commerce shop online, something that sets us apart from others is our live pop-up events throughout the year where we will host food, drinks, discounts, live DJs and more!

Something Anthony & I are most proud of is how far we have come so far the past couple years, with essentially no help from any others. That being said, it has not been easy, and has taken a lot of work and a lot of hours. Since both of us are full-time personal trainers, we had to spend any extra time we had in our day to day job to do everything for Adoniis. This includes updating the website, advertising, emailing, shipping out orders, marketing on our social media platforms, etc. We learned very quick that there will alwayssss be more work to be done, no matter how much you think you have accomplished!

However, if you are willing to put the work in and always keep the vision for your brand in the forefront, you can take your business anywhere that you’d like.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visiting me for a week, there are a few spots that are a MUST here in Columbus.

For breakfast, we would start off by hitting Fox in the Snow for an espresso and pastry to get the morning going. Then, after working for a few hours, we would grab some lunch at Koble Grill in Westerville for an excellent Greek dish before scheduling a strength session at The 1 Fitness later that evening. Once we finished sweating everything out, we would go back to shower/change and get ready to head over to Del Mar and have a nice swordfish for dinner. Once done, I would take my friend to a very unique private bar in the Short North called IYKYK for a nice classy cocktail. Lastly, as always, most likely finishing the night out to Townhall across the street where almost everyone likes to party at this point. And for extra credit, hit Buckeye Donuts on High St for some donuts if we have any cravings after a night out 😉

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
As cliche as it may sound, Anthony & I would not have been able to start this venture with Adoniis Fiit if it wasn’t for both of our parents! When we got together to brainstorm what we wanted to do with this brand, we were still in our early 20’s, and had no one else really in on this team with us. However, both of our parents were very open and supportive to the idea we had, to the point where they each gave us enough funding to open our business & LLC, and get started with inventory & supplies for our first ever collection! Without them, we may have never begun this brand in the first place. For that, we are forever grateful for having such supportive and loving parents always in our corner.
