Hi Ming, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One of the key factors contributing to our success at Cheviot house is our commitment to three essential elements: quality, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service. Looking back at the past 15 years, whether it was establishing our non-profit organization or starting The Cheviot House, our unwavering goal has always been to provide a high-quality experience for everyone we work with. We strive for excellence and aim to give our customers the same level of service that we would expect ourselves. We have set high standards because we understand that our customers deserve a positive experience and a positive attitude, regardless of our own personal feelings. It is essential to listen attentively and understand the needs of each individual, as customer satisfaction is rapidly declining due to the lack of attention and the focus on mere financial transactions.

At our core, we are driven by a dual dedication: serving as public servants and pursuing entrepreneurship. In addition to managing our own businesses, we both hold professional positions that allow us to serve and contribute to our communities. What truly sets our brand apart is our unwavering commitment to one another and the work we undertake—it is the key to our success.

Passion is the driving force behind everything we do. Helping others lies at the heart of our endeavors, and creating a lasting legacy for our family holds immense significance for us. Our sons, in particular, serve as our greatest motivation. They are exceptional individuals, and we strive to make them proud of our achievements and the meaningful work we engage in.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Leroy is an expert at discovering the finest dining establishments in Cincinnati. With his constant research, he uncovers hidden gems throughout our city. Our love for exploring new restaurants knows no bounds, as we are willing to venture to any location. In Cincinnati, you can find a plethora of dining options catering to all preferences.

As self-proclaimed food enthusiasts, we derive immense pleasure from sampling eateries that offer not only delicious cuisine but also a charming ambiance. We highly recommend embarking on a food tour, as they provide a combination of amusement and insightful information. From the vibrant Banks project to the captivating Liberty Center, Cincinnati offers an abundance of activities and experiences to indulge in.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our success can be attributed to several groups of people who have played vital roles in supporting our journey. Firstly, our family has been incredibly supportive, actively participating in various capacities, offering their prayers, and nurturing our dreams. From an early age, my parents instilled in me the importance of dreaming big and taking risks.

Moreover, our success owes a great deal to our remarkable mentor, Pearl. She believed in our business potential right from the beginning and provided invaluable guidance on setting up our business correctly. Her mentorship was invaluable, and although she passed away a few years ago, her legacy continues to shape our strong foundation.

Lastly, as a husband and wife team, our relationship goes beyond business, and this profound connection has been a constant source of support. Believing in each other on a deeper level has played a pivotal role in our overall success.
