Meet Norberto E Huertas | Owner & Mechanic

We had the good fortune of connecting with Norberto E Huertas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Norberto E, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The important factor behind our success is the customer service. We feel that engagement with our customers is the key to building a strong following and trust. We make sure to treat everyone with a high level of respect and courtesy and handle their problems with the same amount care no matter the difficulty or exact need. This has been at the forefront of our business from the very beginning and has helped create a community who has lifted us up and supported us for years.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We started our business as just a fun afterwork activity. It’s started as a small workbench in the basement of our apartment building. We found a hole in the industry for creating custom projects out of older “vintage” bicycles. We completely overhauled them and made them unique to every rider by taking input from the individual every step of the way. Our bicycles are a part of ourselves and how we express our personalities to the world and we really love that. Over the years it became so popular we were able to open a physical location that allowed us to really expand what we were doing.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start with a bike ride through our wonderful Metro parks trails. For food I would take them to Rinconcito Chapin for some delicious Guatemalan food. The music scene it great in Cleveland so I would find a local show at Happy Dog and end the evening off with some dessert at Mason’s Creamery.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve gotten where I am thanks to my best friend and business partner Mason Adkins. He has helped me to build our business, become a better person and to learn new way to tackle challenges while always keeping a positive attitude.
