Meet Prixeless | Multi Disciplinary Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Prixeless and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Prixeless, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Detroit, specifically the West side of Detroit. I have to say that because here, that’s an important piece of who you are. But regardless of what side you’re from whether that be east, west, there is a foundation that is the same and that is The Motor City. That is the “muscle and hustle,” that gives me a go-getter mentality. Motown gives me spirit and soul, and is home to the Detroit players who are known for their great sense of fashion, setting trends like: the fur minks, Al Wissan leathers, Cartier buffalo frames, wood frames, or wire frames (depending on your mood or the occasion), which all really speaks to why I have my love for fashion. I grew up in church, my father is a Dr., Pastor, and Life Coach. My mother is a Minister and a musical legend, in her own right, and she carries that humbly. She sang background and wrote songs with Aretha Franklin. I come from a family of creatives. My grandfather on my father’s side, was a jazz percussionist. On my mother’s side my grandfather was a deacon, sang in the Men’s choir, and drew comics when I was a kid. Whatever he did, he did it very well. Really, all of my family is musically inclined, or creative and connected to the arts. Growing up as a PK (Pastors Kid) I was in church A LOT, so I was always around some of the best singers and musicians, and it gave me a desire to want to pick up playing instruments myself such as the drums as well as the piano. I always felt my parents were cool because they always exposed to “good music” from a range of artists like Hezekiah Walker, the elements known as Earth Wind & Fire, to Brandy, & even Tupac.
My parents, being lovers of music, also exposed me to classical and jazz music. I remember visiting the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on holidays, as well as listening to Smooth Jazz V98.7. This caused me to dig deeper into jazz, where I’d fall in love with the creativity and innovation of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock and more.
I can definitely say that being from Detroit, growing up in church, and having musically inclined creative family members is what gives the passion, appreciation, and love for music, art, and fashion that I have today.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is my ability to observe and hear things in a way that many overlook, especially in people and moments that others might dismiss. My art reflects this depth of observation. Growing up, I often felt misunderstood, which fueled my desire to communicate through creative outlets like music, art, and writing.
From an early age, I connected with music—playing drums at 2 and discovering a love for piano and songwriting by 13. My journey really took shape in high school when I began exploring singing, production, and performing. Each move to a new school forced me to adapt and grow, and through every change, music was my constant. It wasn’t always easy, but the challenges built my confidence and resilience.
One of my proudest moments was discovering my voice and artistry. I started with YouTube beats and recording in makeshift setups, refining my craft little by little. By the time I rebranded as *Prixeless*, I knew I wanted to create art that offers experiences money can’t buy—experiences too valuable to put a price on.
I’ve also been fortunate to work alongside talented individuals such as my team BGP, Maine Soul, Mikhail Miller, Niko Noir etc. who have helped push my sound forward. These collaborations, along with my personal journey of learning production and mixing, have helped me develop the distinct, authentic sound I have today. My music, like my name, stands for something that’s truly invaluable.
At the core, *Prixeless* is more than a name—it’s a way of living and creating. My art is designed to inspire, connect, and give people an experience that goes beyond what words can express. My journey hasn’t always been smooth, but each challenge has taught me the importance of growth, patience, and faith. The work I’m most excited about today reflects all those lessons, and I believe it’s something that can positively impact the culture.
