Hi Rachel, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
For me, pursuing an artistic or creative career is a natural choice because I’ve always had a deep passion for entertaining and making things fun and beautiful. Starting in elementary school I would throw themed parties and design my own birthday cakes. Especially now…I believe that celebrating every occasion, no matter how big or small, is important. I find joy in crafting beautifully crafted customized themed sweets that add a special touch to our clients’ memorable event. It’s a way for me to be a part of those special moments and share in the happiness of others.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our business sets itself apart by embracing a unique model for a bakery and dessert catering company. Unlike typical bakeries, we primarily operate on a custom order basis, where clients pre-order their sweets and pick them up on a scheduled date. While we’re open for walk-in customers three days a week, we offer a limited selection of our most popular treats. What truly makes us distinct is our expertise in dessert table styling. We take pride in curating every aspect of your event’s dessert presentation, from linens to backdrops and sweets stands, all in line with your theme and color scheme. We definitely bring the “wow” factor to any event and your guest will still be taking about the desserts for weeks afterward.

Our journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but we’ve overcome them with determination and adaptability especially during and after the trying time of Covid. . We’ve learned that innovation, a personal touch and attention to details are keys to success in standing out in this industry. We’ve had the privilege of serving a diverse range of clients, from corporate events to weddings, mitzvahs, birthday parties, and showers, and each experience has enriched our brand’s story. Our message to the world is that we’re more than just a bakery; we’re creators of memorable moments and beautifully styled desserts that add a special touch to every occasion. “Celebrate life’s sweetest moments” is not just our tagline; it’s our guiding philosophy. We are so happy and honored to get to spend our day with that tagline in mind!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Columbus for a week in the summer, I’d make sure they had a fantastic time with a mix of family-friendly and exciting experiences. Here’s a little itinerary:

Day 1:

Start the trip with a visit to The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium.

Followed by dinner on the charming patio at Lindey’s in German Village.

Day 2:

Morning – charity event run along the Scioto Mile.

Brunch at North Star Cafe.

Spend a relaxing day at the Franklin Park Conservatory, exploring the children’s garden and beautiful plant exhibits.

Day 3:

Immerse in the excitement of a Crew soccer match at Lower.com Field.

Cap off the night with delicious ice cream from Graeter’s.

These are some of my favorite things to do and places to visit in Columbus, making for a memorable and fun week with my best friend.
