We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Ramsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Might as well”. I love this quote because it cancels out all other questions or contemplative thoughts you may have in that moment about something you could be uncertain about. I feel like it gives you that little push you need to get to your yes answer or no answer.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a model, I am able to create art through taking beautiful photos! I have a very unique personality and I love to express myself through my fashion and posing. Over the past couple of years I have really improved and developed a style and vibe that I am really vibing with so far and I can’t wait to keep developing and improving it!

Where I am today in my modeling career has developed sort or passively. I modeled a little bit when I was younger, but I was very shy, and so that did not last too long. I picked modeling back up after I graduated high school in 2018 because I was unsure what I wanted to do as far as my career goes, but I knew I loved fashion and dressing up. I’ve been modeling ever since, and have just been working on my portfolio, posing, runway, networking and of course my style.

It was ‘easy’ but not easy getting where I am today because I am still shy, I just make my self be okay with being uncomfortable and just tell myself I might as well do it because why not? And unfortunately I don’t have a good enough reason to not do it except for that I am shy. Stepping out of my comfort zone has allowed me develop the woman I am and also connect with so many wonderful people.

I would tell the world that I am an introverted extrovert. Through my work I want to be able to teach others more about sustainability and a better way of living life. There is so much chaos in this world and we all deserve to live a healthy lifestyle while creating meaningful connections and experiences on this earth.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My best friends definitely deserve the credit! They are so amazing, and encouraging, and so supportive of all of my endeavors. When I find myself over thinking or not really sure where or what to do, they are always there to talk with me through scenarios and situations, to find a solution. They really are wonderful people and I’m so grateful and lucky to have them as my best friends!!
