We had the good fortune of connecting with Raquel micaela Zuniga and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raquel micaela, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think taking risks is an essential part of not only starting a business but it plays a huge role in our lives as well. Without taking risks there’s no way to find out the reward and maybe sometimes it’s not the reward that we imagined but taking risks has helped me learn and better myself not only as a person but in my craft as well. It has given me a better insight it whatever it’s is I decide to take on in life. The truth of the matter is some of the risks I’ve taken have been major losses in the process of starting Caricia but it’s brought us where we are today and I can truly say I don’t regret any of it!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Getting to this point was not easy there were various times I did not want to continue with Caricia, but one lesson I truly learned and didn’t appreciate till known was that all good things take time and patience. I remember how much I used to struggle in creating arrangements and how extremely long I would take in trying to create a single bouquet but as time progressed my creative process just became something that came naturally and just all of a sudden clicked in my head. What I’m trying to say is, that if you’ve found something you’re passionate about but don’t see the progress you see others are making, please do not give up, take your time and find your own path and the rest will come naturally.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ahh, I love this question. We’re gonna start with the drinks and a place I quite frequent is a speakeasy here in chat called Unknown Caller, but if we’re talking about a fun night out I would hit up Whisky Cowgirl they usually always have live music on the weekends so that’s always fun. For a quick coffee run, we’d stop by Sleepy Head their matcha is superior. Of course, you can’t come to chat without stopping by neighboring cities so Nashville would be on our list they have the best barbecue and Broadway is never a miss, oh and I cannot forget a quick stop to 5. Daughters bakery, they’re the best doughnuts I’ve ever had, a seriously. As you can see all of my plans usually include drinks or food so I always make sure my guests come with an empty stomach lol.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without a doubt Caricia owes a lot of its small success to my family, my mom, dad & sisters, Kevin and my floral partner in crime Lowery. Because of there love and support Caricia is still thriving and blooming.
