We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Maxwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, how does your business help the community?
She’s Company is completely designed to help women make meaningful friendships as adults. It has created a safe space and community for women to feel welcome and form bonds.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
With my events we try to stand out by attaching a theme to all of them. All events are at different locations so being able to attach a theme that coincides with the venue is something really fun and also give attendees a chance to put together an outfit they might not wear otherwise. A huge part of how I got to where I am is the connections that I’ve been lucky to make throughout the last 14 years working in the service industry. The service industry has helped me connect with people from all walks of life. The biggest lesson I have learned is. that people will always remember how you treat them and if you treat people well, they will support your endeavors. I want the world to know that everyone is welcome here, no matter your age, race, size, etc. we all need human connection and it is okay to go searching for those platonic soul mates, they are out there and they’re looking for connection too.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would try to hit spots in the surrounding neighborhoods, Downtown, Tremont, Ohio City, ideally go to sporting event or concert specifically at Jacob’s Pavilion. Immerse them in the food, music and community.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I always credit the women that show up to my events. They show up with such a welcoming energy that truly allows me to create a safe space for women
