We had the good fortune of connecting with Renajia Menchaca and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renajia, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
The most important thing I’ve done as a parent is raise my children up in a Christian household, introducing them to the love of Jesus Christ. Demonstrating and teaching them Christ-like qualities that will hopefully follow them and guide their decision making into adulthood.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
During covid I decided to finally start the event decor business that all my close friends and relatives encouraged me to start because they said I did so good after I decorated for my children’s birthday parties. I think what sets me apart from others is my gift of balloon styling. In starting an event decor business I’ve developed of love for balloon styling. I offer luxury balloon designs for any event. I am most proud of the professional growth I’ve experienced in my business. I’ve transitioned from smaller events to more corporate level events in about a 2 year time span and I am excited for my continued future growth. This was definitely not easy but when your steps are ordered by God, everything always works out, even in the challenging times. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is you have to be flexible sometimes and have the ability to pivot your designs at any given moment. What I want the world to know about my brand and my story is that I was created with purpose and my hands are gifted with purpose. I want Gods light to shine through everything that I do, even in my balloon designs!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely visit Easton mall. We would eat at Coopers Hawk. Depending on the Season, I’d try to catch a Columbus clippers or a Columbus Crew Game. We would go to Pins bowling alley and also maybe try some ax throwing at Dueling axes. Then we would finish our week off by attending my church home, New Birth Christian Ministries Sunday morning!
