Meet Saionara Frederick | Business Owner/ Nail Technician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Saionara Frederick and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Saionara, how do you think about risk?
Risk is something that we should take in most situations. In my situation, I worked in a factory for 10 years working 50 plus hours a week but, I knew my dreams were not in the factory. My dreams were to go back to school to get license as a nail technician and opening my own business. I was scared and worried to leave a job that I worked for so long to take a risk in following my dream but I never gave up. I`ve been licensed for 3 years, I worked for a salon briefly, then went on my own a year after my business expanded and now I own a successful salon and run it with an amazing team. I kept moving forwards even when things got difficult because I believed that if I didn`t take that risk I might’ve have regret it in the future.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Diamond Shine Nails is a luxurious nail salon located in Ashland Ohio, Our costumers are our highest priority and we enjoy keeping up with the latest trends to satisfy our clients. We love to make them feel welcome in every way possible and making them feel like family. Diamond Shine Nails is a very clean, organized, sanitary and glamorous nail salon. We work very hard to give our clients one of a kind, joyful, processional, relaxing experiences.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I enjoy walking, shopping and going out to eat in the small town of Ashland, Ohio. The town has many awesome small shops and great restaurants. My favorite restaurant to eat at in Ashland is the South Street Grille. They have an amazing patio to relax and hang out with friends and family and a live band that you can listen to while enjoying your fantastic meal.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest supporter is my husband, he has never gave up on me, even when I wanted to give up on myself. He keeps me motivated, strong and focused when things get rough. He has supported me in every step of the way and in every decision I have made in life or in my career. My main motivation in life is my son, he is the reason why I have took so many risks in life, he keeps pushing me to do better and never give up. Because of him I have come so far in life to teach him that when you set your mind to success and take risks you can accomplish anything.
