Meet Seth Flora | Marketer and SAAS Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Seth Flora and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Seth, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my businesses because I saw problems that needed solving and figured, why not be the one to fix them?
With LEO Digital Marketing, I had some solid marketing skills and realized a lot of small businesses struggle to get noticed because they either don’t have the time, budget, or know-how to market themselves properly. I wanted to help them grow without breaking the bank, so I started LEO to provide affordable, quality marketing services.
Then with Porchlio, the idea came from helping my mom manage her rental. Even dealing with just one property came with a ton of challenges—rent payments, maintenance, keeping everything organized. I thought, if this is tough for one unit, imagine how crazy it must be for landlords with multiple properties. That’s when I knew there was a need for a simple, all-in-one property management tool, and I decided to build it.
At the end of the day, I love solving problems and creating things that actually help people. That’s what pushed me to start both businesses, and it’s what keeps me going.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I run two businesses that are built around solving real problems—LEO Digital Marketing and Porchlio. Each one is unique in its own way, but they share the same foundation: helping people grow and succeed.
With LEO Digital Marketing, what sets us apart is our Growth System. Instead of throwing marketing dollars at random strategies and hoping something sticks, we take a smarter approach. We identify the most effective strategies for each business, optimize them for the best return on investment, and scale what works. That way, every marketing dollar is spent wisely, helping businesses grow without wasting money.
Porchlio, on the other hand, is all about making property management easier and more profitable. Managing rentals can be overwhelming, whether you have one unit or a hundred. Our goal is to simplify the process with powerful tools that take care of the hard work so landlords can focus on what really matters—growing their investments.
Getting to this point hasn’t been easy. There have been challenges, setbacks, and plenty of moments where I questioned everything. But I’ve learned two big lessons along the way: trust your gut and keep pushing forward. There’s no shortcut to success, but if you stay committed, adapt, and keep moving, things start falling into place.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that my businesses exist to make life easier—whether that’s through smarter marketing or better property management. And more than that, I want my story to show that no matter how tough things get, if you have a vision and keep working toward it, you can make it happen.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d make sure they got the full Springfield experience—good food, great drinks, and a mix of fun and laid-back local spots. We’d kick things off with lunch at Charlos in downtown Springfield, followed by drinks at The State Theater just down the street. A local high school basketball game would definitely be on the list, because the energy at those games is always exciting. We’d spend some time exploring downtown Springfield, checking out the shops and grabbing coffee at Winan’s, then take a break outdoors with a trip to Buck Creek State Park for some fresh air and good views. For a little history and culture, we’d stop by the Heritage Center Museum, then swing by the Heart of Ohio Antique Center, one of the biggest antique malls in the country. A day trip to Yellow Springs would be a must, grabbing lunch at Peach’s Grill or Sunrise Café, exploring the unique shops, and capping it off with ice cream at Young’s Jersey Dairy.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without the support, guidance, and inspiration from some amazing people and resources.
First, my mom has always had my back. No matter what I’ve pursued, she’s supported me and helped in ways big and small. Then there’s my wife, who keeps me grounded and focused. She reminds me that no matter how tough things get, it’ll all work out in the end, and that’s been huge for me.
I also have to give a shoutout to Chuck Moorman, a business coach at the Springfield SBDC. He’s been working with me from the start, and his guidance and encouragement gave me the confidence to keep pushing forward when things got tough.
Speaking of the Springfield Small Business Development Center, that whole organization has been a game-changer for me. They’ve been a resource at every stage of my business journey, helping me navigate the ups and downs and making sure I had the tools I needed to grow.
And of course, I’ve got to mention a few books that have really shaped my mindset:
Like a Virgin by Richard Branson gave me a whole new perspective on business.
Atomic Habits helped me build better habits that actually support my goals.
The Vision Driven Leader got me back on track when I was at one of my lowest points in business.
Success isn’t something you achieve alone, and I’m beyond grateful for the people, organizations, and books that have helped me get to where I am today!”
