We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanyia O’Neal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tanyia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was thinking of the community to have products on hand that’s all in style right now for a cheaper price than anywhere else .

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Story Behind My Brand Is I Started Making Tutus When I Was In Middle School , I Told Myself I Should Start Making Them For Little Girls , So I Did Then I Finally Got Into The Lipgloss Field . So I Came Up With The Name Luxury Lips Lashes & Custom Tutus.

I started making Tutus years ago. I saw photos of tutus, tutus in the store for children, trends of tutus and thought to myself I can make these. I did some research to see what was the best technique, I started off going to the local craft store buying material and started my very own first tutu. Over the years I have somewhat perfected my craft in making tutus and I am challenged by customers with their theme tutu requests but they all seem to be pleased with my work. I started making tutus when I was in high school, I have made tutus for a month-old baby to a 50-year-old woman. You have to make sure you have enough material to make the correct length you have to make sure you cut right one little mishaps could ruin all your hard work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In my view the most fun place is going out to eat , parties , go bowling , go to top golf , go to scene 75 or even just catching up with each other would be fun

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to My Mom , if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be where I am at today , she’s the one that pushed me to finally continue with my business to expand and add more products, she’s the one that pushed me to finally get my LLC and really do this business stuff and take it further.
