Meet Taylor Easterday

We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Easterday and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was to be able to continue perusing my passion of being a hairstylist while fulfilling my entrepreneurial ambitions. I wanted to ensure I had full control over the experience I give my clients each appointment and have the flexibility to cater to each of their needs and hair goals. I also started this business as part of my personal growth journey to challenge myself and become more independent.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is my attention to my clients end goals and coming up with a plan to get them there while also considering their hair health in the process. I consult with each one of my clients before I start to ensure I fully understand what they’re looking to get done while also being honest and giving my expert opinion. I also strive to give my clients a comfortable space where they can decompress from their busy lives and also be there if they need somebody to talk to in a private and intimate setting. My suite has been opened for seven months now and I’m still working through some of the challenges of starting a business in the beauty industry. I’m proud of the business I’ve built to this point, but I’m excited to continue growing and help even more clients reach their hair goals and feel confident. My brand was designed with clients in mind and giving them the best experience possible. I want to know each of my clients on a personal level and want them to feel like I’m someone they can come to even outside of the salon.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were to visit the Dublin area, I would take her to a brewery during the day since we both like laid back environments. If we were going out at night, I would take her to Bridge Park! They have many good food and drink options.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My clients deserve a huge shoutout for encouraging me to take this next step in my career and supporting me through the transition!
