Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At the beginning of 2024 I was battling Gastroparesis and neuropathy which left me unable to walk and emergency ileostomy surgery. These conditions brought unforeseen challenges that changed my life forever. In the mist of those dark times I discovered the profound power of affirmations. These simple yet potent words became my guiding light, offering solace and strength during moments of uncertainty. They became more than mere phrases; they became my lifeline, anchoring me to hope and resilience. I became a new Author publishing a coloring book, “Vision of Life Through Colors.” During those dark times in the hospital affirmations and the art of coloring became my sanctuary of tranquility Each stroke of color was an expression of self-care, self-empowerment and self-discovery, a testament to your journey towards inner strength.
The publishing of my coloring book served as a gentle reminder that amidst life’s storms, there is always a place of serenity within reach. Let the affirmations guide you, and let the colors soothe your soul. Embrace the calmness within, and may your coloring journey be filled with moments of joy, reflection and healing.

My life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Gastropresis that led to ileostomy. After my ileostomy surgery, I realized I wasn’t alone. I wanted to meet new ostomates and share their stories to the world. I started an UOAA affiliated ostomy support group and donation ostomy supplies hub called Ostomy Warriors based in Columbus, Ohio in April 2024. The support group has been my lifeline. Sharing experiences and finding support from others ostomates who understand has been incredibly helpful. If you’re going through something similar, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
